To participate in the Syracuse Quality Life program contact your Property Manager and have your Property Manager enroll you in the program.

Syracuse Quality Living has teamed up with Gallagher to provide you with the opportunity to participate in a renters insurance program designed especially for SQL residents.

For only $15 per month, this plan offers tenant liability coverage to satisfy your lease requirements AND coverage for your personal property featuring accidental damage and theft coverage with a low, $50 deductible. This policy is tailored specifically for students’ needs and offered at a low, wallet-friendly rate.

 

What is covered?

Personal Property Coverage for your belongings due to accidental damage, theft, fire, water damage, and other common causes of loss.  

  • Policy Limit - $3,000 per claim
  • Deductible - $50
  • Accidental Damage Coverage is included at no extra cost
  • Replacement Cost Coverage – You do not have to worry about depreciation
  • Worldwide Coverage Territory – Protection at home, at school, and abroad
  • No limitation on electronics: smartphones, laptops, tablets, computers, video consoles, headphones, cameras and more!
  • Bikes, jewelry, musical instruments protected up to $2,000 each

Tenant Liability Coverage provides coverage for property damage caused to your rental unit that you may be held liable for and also satisfies your lease requirement.

  • Policy Limit - $100,000
  • Deductible - $0
  • Covered perils include: Fire, Water, Smoke, and Explosion
  • Common causes of loss include kitchen fires, toilet overflows, and water damage caused by sprinkler systems

How do I file a personal property claim?

Personal Property Claims

  1. To file a claim for damage to or theft of your personal property, click the ‘File a Claim’ button:

  1. Log in using Policy Number: P4RF-46JX and Password: Syracuse1
  2. Report any burglary or theft immediately and ask for a copy of the police report
  3. If theft is suspected, you will need to show proof of ownership with a receipt, credit card statement, or other method of proof
  4. Take detailed pictures of damaged property
  5. Protect any damaged property from further damage – do NOT dispose of damaged property until claim has been processed

Your completed claim will be processed as quickly as possible. Please allow up to 30 days for processing. If you encounter any problems in processing your claim, please contact Arthur J. Gallagher & Co. at the number listed below.

How do I file a tenant liability claim?

  1. In the event of an emergency such as a fire, contact the appropriate authorities immediately.
  2. Report any losses including fires, water damage, or other property damage to your landlord to begin the claims process.

How do I enroll?

The process is simple! Contact your leasing office and ask about the SQL Renters Insurance Program.

 

Who is eligible for coverage?

All residents are eligible for the SQL Renters Insurance Plan.

 

When does my policy start?

If you select the SQL Renters Insurance Plan prior to moving in, your coverage will begin on move-in day. If you select the SQL Renters Insurance Plan after move-in and at any point during your lease term, coverage will begin the first day of the month following sign-up. All selections and forms will be completed at your property’s leasing office.
