Q: Doesn't my homeowners policy cover my child's property?
A: It depends. Not all Homeowners policies are the same. But most will provide some coverage. Most policies have limitations on certain property. And, the limit for property away from the principal residence is generally 10% of the personal property limit on the parent's policy. Most Accidental Damage is not covered. For a detailed comparison, please go here.

A: No, this is an unscheduled policy. We will only ask for proof of ownership at the time of filing a claim. A: Yes. With CSI, travel anywhere in the world is covered 365 days of the year regardless of when, where, why or how you travel.
Top
Q: Is this policy Replacement Cost Coverage?
A: Yes. The policy will pay the current retail price to replace property.
Top
Q: Does this policy cover Bodily Injury or Property Damage Liability for which the student is legally liable?
A: No. Dependent students are covered under a parent's homeowners policy for liability. And, unlike coverage for damage to your property, we believe duplicate liability coverage could present real problems because of homeowner policy provisions relating to other insurance and supplementary payments. So, CSI will not include liability on the Student Personal Property Protector Plus®. Independent students should look into a homeowners/renters policy.
Top
Q: Will this policy pay if I have other insurance in place?
A: Yes. This student policy applies first regardless of other insurance.
Top
Q: How can I purchase a policy using a check or money order?
